The AHMS is just part of our commitment to your practice.  We help your practice incorporate the technology you need to better manage the hospital and provide better treatment to your patients.  Our knowledgebase spans all technologies used in our hospitals, as well as the experiences our hospitals have had, to recommend the best solutions to your needs.


A Solution for Adding a Workstation AnywhereThe foundation of technology is the hardware, and we help to educate you on the hardware that is best suited for your hospital.  We recommend various hardware manufacturers based on the track record and support for small and mid-sized businesses.   Creative solutions from our knowledgebase can help your practice truly move into the digital world. For example, the pole stand shown to the right allows you to add a full workstation anywhere in the hospital.

Mobility: House Calls and Farm Calls — With a laptop, and a wireless printer, you have access to all the information from the hospital, and can perform every task with ease.  You can use the same flow as you would at the hospital, accessing the same screens, or use similar screens to match your unique flow at a house-call.  The AHMS maintains all hospital functions, but provides enhanced efficiency at the house-call.  Our Appointment Scheduler will automatically add the client’s address into the appointment details (along with their phone number), so appointments can easily be grouped by location.  You can also maintain the Appointment Scheduler on the road, and when you return to the hospital, the remote update will alert you to any scheduling conflicts, while updating the schedules.  Any changes you make to the client information and to any of their pets (even ones not seen), will be updated automatically when you return to the hospital.  The hospital can maintain multiple mobile units simultaneously, with remote updates integrated with the hospital server.  Three unique flows can be performed at a house-call: Standard, Quick Consult, and Duplicate Visit.  A visit can be tagged with a Clinic To Do Item, to remind you to perform a task when you return to the hospital.


Networking allows all computers and devices to communicate, whether it's in the hospital, during a farm call, or being on vacation and checking in on how things are going.

Access to the 5-Minute Veterinary Consult — With the CD version, you can quickly access any condition or drug within the AHMS, by simply highlighting the desired word(s) and click on 5-MIN CONSULT.  The 5-Minute Veterinary Consult will automatically launch, bringing up the desired information, without having to find the book, and manually looking up the information.  The best part is that you can copy information from the Veterinary Consult and paste this information directly into the AHMS, whether it’s the clinical history, or Home Instructions for the client.


Our hospitals are currently using many technologies, from many companies, to help meet the needs of their clients and patients.  Since we work very closely with these hospitals, our knowledgebase includes these experiences to help you select and use these technologies. · Access to Technologies Improving Your Practice — The AHMS integrates with technologies to improve your practice: Pet Portals®, Antech’s Z(O)ASIS, 5-Minute Veterinary Consult, HealthyPet Reminders and others.  For example, you can quickly access any condition or drug within the AHMS; simply highlight the desired phrase and click on 5-MIN CONSULT.  Clinical information and client education can be accessed immediately within the examination.  These technologies provide more levels of communications with your clients and improve compliance. The AHMS works seamlessly with Bar Codes (scanners and printers), providing enhanced inventory control and more efficient sales.  With Tablet PCs, you can use the AHMS with enhanced handwriting recognition and voice recognition.  Since the AHMS is a true Windows application, you can utilize all technologies available to Windows. · Complete Management — The AHMS manages all activity in your practice: Appointments, Clinical Records, Billing, Reminders, Time Clock, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Budgeting, Employee Scheduling, Doctor Rotations, Phone Messaging, Client Communications, and more. · Transitioning to a Digitized Practice — Our Medical Records Retrieval Module manages medical records integration with the Enhanced Appointment Scheduler and the Phone Messaging Module.  Providing control of medical records facilitates the transition to digital records. .
